3rd Version

I recently subscribed to the New York Times and start my day by reading the newspaper.
I started because I have a limited vocabulary and I also want to improve my reading and writing skills.

Oh, I read a news article this morning that there will be a lot of job losses due to technological advances. I don't know if this will ever happen in my life, but I'm looking forward to it.

After watching the news, I wanted to have a cup of coffee nearby.
I walked down the street to a new cafe that opened last week.
It was a beautiful cafe with sofas. I sat on the sofa by the window.
As I was about to get up and go to the cash register to order coffee, a human-like robot approached me. I was amazed at the quality of the robot because it was the first time I thought the robot was a real person.
I ordered a vanilla latte with a slice of strawberry cake.
The robot server took my order and said it would be back soon.

Meanwhile, I pulled out my laptop and scheduler and did a school assignment due next week. Though I started last month, I wanted to make a few important changes and I thought I was running out of time.
Then, my friend called me if I finished my homework.
Otherwise, she wanted to do it together. So I asked her to come over here.
While texting my friend, the robot server came to serve me a latte and she said I'm a student on this campus and it will be free because they have a promotion this week.
I thought I'd invite a lot of friends here this week.

Thirty minutes later, my friend finally arrived. For about 2 hours, we fully concentrated on our work and did not even care about our surroundings.
When I have finished writing the last paragraph of the eighth page of my essay, I finally got to stretch out my arms and finally opened my eyes from the screen.

And I realized that the cafe was incredibly crowded with over 100 people on the waiting list.
So I told a friend and we decided to go out for dinner in the evening and left the cafe.
